SCULPTURE

Supplies

– Super Sculpy Clay

– Clay Tools

– Wooden Base

– Screws

– Paint Brushes

– Acrylic Paint (time permitted)

The Process

Estimated time: 25 hours

Max Points for Assignments: 305

(10 PTS) Choose a character or creature that you would like to use as your reference for your sculpture.

(10 PTS) Print out your image and use a marker to create a stick figure.

(25 PTS) Use the stick figure pattern to create an armature with aluminum wire.

(10 PTS) Use screws to mount the armature to the wooden base.

(50 PTS) Use tinfoil to create muscle structure and bulk to the figure.

(50 PTS) Use softened Sculpy Clay to complete the construction of the figure.

(50 PTS) Overall quality of reference to practical application.

(100 PTS) Time management – Student uses in-class time wisely and attends class [student must have a valid reason for not attending scheduled session(s)].

(25 PTS) Illustration Test – Measure how you approach drawing.

(50 PTS) Perspective – Understanding and creating shapes using 2 point and 3 point perspective. 

(50 PTS) Figure Drawing – Creating a figure using the head counting technique.

(50 PTS) Still Life Drawing 1 – Recreate a still life setting of  one object – FRONT VIEW.

(50 PTS) Still Life Drawing 2 – Recreate a still life setting of  one object – ARTIST CHOICE OF DIRECTION.

(50 PTS) Shading – Understanding light source and how it affects the look of at object.

(50 PTS) Overall quality of reference to practical application.

(100 PTS) Time management – Student uses in-class time wisely and attends class [student must have a valid reason for not attending scheduled session(s)].
